Chronoheart: The Room Outside of Time

“It’s not like I like the place itself, or being here for all time, it’s just… I like the power it gives me. Like, as long as I’m in this place, nothing can happen to me. I don’t age. I don’t get sick. There’s a beautiful consistency to every day, and if I ever wanted to change that, I could.”

Is the ability to escape the perpetual flow of time a blessing or a curse? This one-act play strives to answer that question, while debating the ethics of escapism and exploring the struggles of developing a relationship with someone who doesn’t know you yet.
